P38 Swapping front seats over?

Hi, I was just wondering if the front seats are basically the same between the two sides (on a 1998 model)? I know the switches would be on the wrong side if they were just swapped, but is it possible strip that part off and refit to the other seat? I'm sure all the motors would be the same.

I've not got a RR yet, but the one I am looking at has some wear (no damage just slight wear) on the driver's seat but the passenger's is almost perfect. Swapping over would extend the life and even out the wear.

Thanks but the zero cost option of swapping them is more appealing. I wouldn't mind spending a day doing it.

Not absolutly certain but I think you can change the seat bases over on the frame rather than swapping the seat completely. Remember seeing a program on TV where they fitted new seat bases to electric frames from different cars, so it should be possible. May take a while though! This will give you the result you want and keep buttons etc where they should be.
