p38 no low range 1995 2.5 manual

after having an eventful day of looking for faults i still cannot get the low range to work,the switch by the hazard does not light,i have looked at rave but cannot define where the fuses are for this,or where to look.
just need pointing the right way can someone please help.

Just trying to sort out this problem myself. I went under neath and took the connector of the netural select switch on my manual gearbox and inserted part of a paper clip and hey presto I had H/L range. But solving the problem with the car knowing it is stopped and in neutral is being more difficult. When I try to select H/L it displays select neutral on the message centre.
