P38 Heating

I have the same problem but its still really warm round here at the moment so I havent bothered fixing it.

Basically with me you can have LO and nice cold air coming out and HI for really warm air. I cant have an in-between, it just stays cold and sometimes it does put a little warm air out but then goes really hot (as though its in HI) and I get the book symbol appear.

From what I read over at RangeRovers.net its the temp sensor on the coolant pipe inside the car. Look here for info, go down to the heading that says Heater Matrix Temp Sensor and I guess thats the symptoms you have?? Its what I have.

Havent got round to sorting my problem out yet so can't tell you how difficult it is to get to the sensor but I have seen it before when doing other work and it doesnt look too hard to reach without ripping the dash to pieces.
