I am in the process of changing the front and rear end on my P38 and replacing with L322 bumpers and lights.

I know that there will be a lot of people commenting on this telling me i shouldn't do it for various reasons, but each to their own and all that.

I have all the lights bumpers etc but have really struggled to find any pictures or videos with help on how to do the job, i have looked on various posts on this forum but for some reason a lot of the pictures or links are not there.

The bumpers and lights are clearly not the same as the ones coming off the car and am looking for some help from anyone who has done these conversions to give me some tips on how to get a good fit and finish.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and especially any pictures or videos.

Many thanks

For the love of god dont put chuckie L322 lights on a P38, they look bad enough on an L322 & truly awful on a P38.
PS. I've never seen this done with a good fit & finish.:(

Simmonites used to offer this and their finish was good.
The car still looked like a bad joke but the panel gaps were all good, and your wallet was empty!!

Complete with 20" wheel 'upgrade'
Well if you're going to spend a fortune to f**k your car up you might as well go the whole way:confused:

When you take into account the cost of doing this upgrade properly and the value of your P38, wouldn't you be better off selling the car and buying an early L322? I could sort of see the point when L322s were new and 50k+ but you can pick them up for 6k these days!

+1 - you want an L322, go buy one...less headache and similar cost!

6K for a crock of s**t ,if its cheap its nasty sadly this is always the case of a s/h range rover falling into the hands of wannabe gangsters for pennies the p38 is a prime example

Early ones can be had for 6k. If you think that's cheap, you should see what they go for in the trade and at auctions!

The cost to convert it not that expensive, i have the advantage of running a large car dealership with my own bodyshop, what i paid for the car and what i have had to spend on the parts to do the conversion is reasonable and a damn sight cheaper than a £6k L322. I spent ages looking for the parts and as i was patient i was able to pick them up at bargain prices IMO.

My P38 is not my daily runner, it is my Sunday driver maybe a couple of times a month so cant justify the spend on a L322, also working in the motor trade i get the opportunity to buy cars at low prices but even if i could get a L322 for less than £6k once again it is my Sunday driver.

I appreciate that doing the conversion is not to everyones taste but from what i have seen of those done, i.e. pictures online, they look OK.

anyway so far it looks like no-one who has done a conversion on these is able to supply me with any images, i have trawled the web for months now looking but can only see the finished article.
