Hi

I have a leak on my EAS dryer, I tried to remove it , but the 8mm bolt is rusted with the nut.
can we remove the nut assembly from the airbox with the bolt stuck in it?

thanks

I think you might damage the air box a little.

As I remember there is a square shaped captive nut (captive in weak brittle plastic) that the 8mm bolt screws in to. I had to cut my bolt and then use a nut and washer in place of the captive nut. I think you might prise the nut and bolt out of the airbox with care. It just slides in to a housing moulded into the airbox housing. There's a locating tang next to the bolt though (just beneath), and if it's very tight together you might break things trying to force it.

Annoyingly the square captive nuts are "non standard".
