Hi Everybody!
I Have a P38 '96 2.5 TD Range Rover, and as I started the machine this morning, the ABS-HANDBRAKE-TRAC CONTROL backup lights came up and does not go out and realized that I hardly have a brake pedal pressure on the car.
Has anyone had a problem like this before and probably know what the problem is??
I personally think that the ABS pump might have died... :)

Hello Brian.. :)
Thank you for the welcome... :)
The key is on ignition and can hear the pump runinng though... ;) But do not know weather it runs for 30 or 35 normals seconds... :)

Time how long it runs for. It should run & pressurize the accumulator to 80 Bar (1176 PSI), and then the pressure switch turns it off.

Typical failures are:
  1. Failed Accumulator (most common)
  2. Faulty pressure switch
  3. Fluid leak
Download RAVE, and look for Page-798 in the Workshop Manual section.

Does the pump shutoff eventually?
If it does, then press the pedal and if you get one press before the pump runs again the sphère is suspect first.
If you get 4/5 then the sphère should be good.
Take a look into the rear arches where the brake pipes come into view and check for rust.
Check also with a torch beside the fuel tank on the chassis rail. Any rust on the lines will lead to a burst pipe.
If there is any wetness on the pipes and the fluid level is lower than expected you could have a leak....
Investigate carefully and you will get an answer my mate;)
