Here is an extract from an email I have received from Land Rover today:
When a Land Rover reaches the end of its useful life, Takeback lets customers return it, and ensures that strict targets for recycling and recovery are met 85% of the vehicle (by weight) with immediate effect. Land Rover are proud to offer Takeback points in all four countries of the United Kingdom, for use by the last owners of our vehicles, regardless of the date of first registration
So, lets get this clear. Once you have shelled out loads of cash to buy it, loved it for many years spending more cash on it, probably a fair bit at Land Rover dealers, they'll take it back of you for free. F**king generous of them.
When they say "recycle", most of us probably think of it being stripped and the parts melted down to make other stuff. Bastards probably clean the stuff up and sell it back to other owners.
