p 38 rear suspensions

hi all,
my 1998 p38 used to be fine overnight,then she started to sink on the back left overnight . I connected my air compressor to the back left and switched the tap off. over night she sank again. thinking it was air bags I changed both of them. overnight now.she sinks on both rear sides.
Any helpful ideas please?

Before the N/S rear was leaking now both rears are leaking. Check the pipework and connections. One going down could be several things. Bag itself, pipework and connections to bag or valve block or leaking solenoid valve or small O'ring at base of solenoid valve seat to valve block. The other one leaking will be down to something you have done. So check top and bottom of bag and pipe connection. Sounds like you have the emergency inflation valves fitted they also cause leaks. If you have fitted new bags they can only be leaking at the top or bottom or on the connection to them. If those items are sound start looking at the others mentioned.

I checked all the fittings I disturbed with warm soapy water but couldn't find anything bubbling but doid fiddle them about. left her overnight and hey presto still up this morning. many thanks.
I changed both the rears they were originals by the date stamp,not bad for 150 k plus. especially as the last 20 k have been in full on dusty ,harsh conditions. Can I now epect the fronts to give me problems? just in case I bought the full kit from Ribble,4 x 4.dunlop,12 month warranty 244.99 all in ,including next day delivery,tidy people to deal with to

A good trick with the pipe connections to the bags or valve block is to push them in when bags are pressured and suspension is up. You will find they go in that much further and seal better. ;)
 
I would certainly change the fronts as well. Best done when in control rather than drive home from somewhere at 35 mph when one goes with a bang
