Just posted about my turbo fault... But to add: I've just replaced the cylinderhead and head gasket for known good parts. It's had a new waterpump, thermostat removed. I've pressure washed out the radiator also. Now sometimes it runs about 3/4 up the temp gauge and stays there then all of a sudden will overheat! There's no airlocks, hearings nice and warm. Could it be radiator??

Should not need the fan in this weather ! - sounds like a blockage in the system (or a faulty temp sender :) ) are you sure thermosat is working - take it out, put it in a pan of water with a temp probe etc and see what tmep it opens at?
