Hi , I have an overdrive kit to fit my R380 box and transfer , it comes ( as you know ) with a lever operation kit , that you fit and make I hole for it in the original soundproofing foam and use the rubber lever cover that it comes with to fit all three levers , has anyone ever fitted a solenoid to operate the overdrive via a switch rather than the lever , I am going to and wondered if anyone could recommend a solenoid to use ?

GKN used a solinoid switch to activate them.

I have found you need to be quite slow when putting the Od in and out of gear.

As above its not just a matter of pushing it in its more like a gear Change !!
Yes I agree , I intend to use a 12v linear push pull solenoid , these can be of various power and speed rating , hence asking if anyone had used one , I will be producing a bracket for it and I'm sure it will take a couple of solenoids to get the right one , I will the group know the solution when I have it , and can always produce more brackets if anyone wants one !
