I tried a universal model (£25) before getting the price for the genuine
Mitsubishi Shogun aerial, but the universal one didn't fit due to the
awkward angle where it's positioned. I'm not paying £198 quid for an
electric aerial. No way José. My car stereo/mp3 player only cost £2 quid
more than that.

Alternatively, if anybody knows a specific universal electric aerial that
would fit a 1994 Shogun - please - give the make and model. :)

Also, does anyone know of sites which identify different Shogun models (MKI,
MKII, etc.)? 1994 is a changeover year and I've always been a little
unsure (I only bought it in May this year so I'm still learning).
Holdcrofts are forever requesting my VIN number so they can identify the
correct parts, but I keep on forgetting to ask them which MK it is myself.

Is it the aerial that is knockered or just the mast which is available
separately. Also does your model have the aerial switch on the cetre console
that allows you to use the cd player with the aerial down

Just clutching at straws really

There's just a hole marking the spot where the aerial was once fixed on the
front left side. The vehicle when purchased without an aerial or car stereo
at all.

Oh, I dunno. I'll check this when I can next get out of the building to
check it (about 35 mins). :)

(Btw, if anyone cares to identify the model (MK whatever), here's a picture
of it sitting outside Formula 4x4 awaiting the fitting of its A-Bar:

You can just about see the hole where the aerial should be mounted.)
