Hi Guys,
Well following the clutch pin problem I have purchased a second hand clutch with DMF and a manual gearbox. I have found a mechanic with a second lift I can use over a weekend, who will help with lifting and has two gearbox jacks.
For the job in hand I have identified i will need:
2x roll pins
2x O rings for oil cooler pipes.
But what else will I need?
Gasket for the 5 speed selector?
Will the mounting between gearbox and H/L and bell housing need gaskets?
What greases and additional sealant should I be using.
Will the clutch need extra bearings or are they built in to the clutch housing?
Compound to reseal the exhaust?
New exhaust clamps?
New nuts to go on the end of the manifold joint?
Should I buy a secondhand 5 speed selector or is the Emotts neutral pin easy to fit?
Any hints or tips gratefully received, feeling nervous but hopeful the experience will build my mechanics skills. It is booked in for the 11 October and the missus will not let me buy a run around, until then I am on my bike!
Thanks in advance
