I was close to cross axled wasnt i! You can see why i was having
trouble when you look at how shiney and smooth the mud has made my
tyres. I wasnt digging in, just polishing the grass!

Just surfaced from my pit.. finished the night shift and got my head down at
8am.

I couldn't get comfy at work until I fitted Morphs Steering wheel to the
desk ;-)

Right proper old adventure. Also learnt alot, like when planning a route if
some one says "you'll fit through easy" runaway. Think of a time the route
will take and multiply by four. And roads which look massive on a 50000
scale map after gazing at lanes for hours are in reality not much bigger
than the track, they just have tarmac.

Lee, how 'legal' is your spare there in terms of obscuring the
numberplate? Would it be better to have a square, two line
numberplate in the same place?

Of course, it could just be that a skilful photographer has allowed
the wheels to blur ever so slightly to give an impression of
movement...

It depends on how you look at it I guess. Fair to say that any Speed camera
should pick out the number on the same side of the road but probably not the
other. Cheaper option would be to display it Grumble stylie I guess.... I
like cheap! I've still got one of those chrome trim thingys from the Rangie
which I did intent putting on when I relocate it anyway, may as well have
some bling in the DMZ.

Next time I have a "tuit" I'll shift it and bung some rivets in the holes.
There are still two holes from the military number plate I need to fill
anyway which are allowing cold air through..... just the other 99.8% of
draught to locate and stop then. Give me 2 months and it'll be too hot
again.

Retrieved thisafternoon, though it is now running very hot (It used to
run below N and is now on the red line). Had to stop for it to boil

I have to say that, looking at it in the daylight i chose quite a nice
place to brake down! - the view putting my pulley back on was much
nicer than my usual views while fixing the landy!

It surrently gives the driver a permenant sauna effect - so hopefully
the running hot is due to the popped expansion tank and not the head
gasket!

Now... can i just block off the expansion tank feed or change the
waterpump to a 90 item to eliminate it?

I'm not familiar with your cooling system but I'd say it will be the
expansion tank. The water will boil much quicker as it's not under pressure.
New expansion tank should sort it fingers crossed.

May be worth a trip to the scrappy or a trawl of ebay.

I'm more releived that you found it again, I had visions of mustering a
search party ;-)

The back wheel isnt spinning!. You cant see any of the thread on it :p

I went to the lanes around Ostrichwee as well some time ago, and
intend to go again one of these days, I've got a fair few routes in
Memory Map to try. Lee and I swapped overlays so that's given me some
more to have a crack at.

Well I can use Morph again without a complex...number plate relocated
complete with blingy ex RR trim your worrzelships ... also finished off two
more cupboards while I had my tools out... One more area to box in then it's
on to either put doors or sliders on the main cupboards, choices choices!
It's all beginging to look very homely now. I've got my first full on
camping session planned (solo) , much cheaper than a Hotel though I don't
know what the chaps at Thames Valley will make of him on their H.Q. car
park. Couple of months to go yet though, site is at the back of a pub....
dunno how I'm going to survive three nights ;-)
