Manky innards but smilin' still

I have always known that cleaning the house is bad for the soul but didn't realise that it also spread into car cleaning too.

Following my stupendous cleaning session of beast at the weekend- think I may have hurt her feelings.....

Noticed that the sliding windows at the back was really ,really stiff and that wiping the slots it slides into , down with a cloth didn't make a difference so..... thought i'd spray it with silicon spray to help smooth its way...

Well then I found that the stuff/packing inside the track/slot, the window goes back and forth into, was really slimmy to the point that it started to just disintegrate ( think it was a bit like it b4 i put spray on coz other side was like it too just not as bad )so now.....

Half of the sealing "stuff" is now missing and one of the windows is rattling around - have packed it with a bit of cardboard to stop the noise but....

1)can you replace what ever is inside the track ?
2) whats it called ?
3)where do you get it from ?
4)how do you fit it ?

is this the stuff?

think there's small screws holding them in. have you gorra haynes or workshop manwel
of some description?

Thats possibly the stuff- difficult to tell- mine has pretty much disintegrated and looks like a mouldy squashed black worm- couldnt see any screws but didnt want to pull out anymore of the stuff to look in case window just fell out -lol.

Havent got manual yet- that on my list for next weds( payday- been a long 5 week month )

At that price though I could get a length and just try it .
