Not so long ago such posters were ignored until someone politely suggested they go and introduce themselves first. The principal being that, as a stranger, you would not walk up to a group of friends chatting and start asking questions of that group. In the real world you would say hello and introduce yourself first.
Have we given up on this principal? Do we think it is important? I'm a member of a mini forum and your first three posts don't appear until authorised by a senior member of the forum.

I have a 2002 Defender 90 TD5 which I've had for I suppose 5 years now. It's my daily drive currently and believe it or not everything works on it to the very last switch which has given me time to focus on those things that make it more practical like good storage, seating, central locking, electric windows, heated windows, and replacing the rear cross member. Not so tidy though that I can't take it off-roading with branches scaping down the side - what's the point if you can't be prepared to do that? I'll stick some pictures up later but much of its good looks and modifications are attributable to the previous owner to whom I am eternally grateful. It's our holiday car much loved by my kids, and building great memories for them just like I had with my dads old family bangers. Also great in the Cotswold snow!
