Old bonnet - save or scrap?

I have this spare deluxe type bonnet which came with my series. It's not a particularly good example as the steel skeleton is badly rusted.

Is it worth saving or should I scrap it? From what I understand, there are quite a few of these around.

I'd save that. Looks perfectly salvageable with some elbow grease. Ive seen many far worse than that

I should have included in the first post that I picked up a much better one at a show last year. This one is now surplus so I'm looking to get rid of it.

Looking at completed listings on ebay, they don't actually seem to sell that well. That's why I wondered if anyone on here was interested.

I would just tart it up a little, rub down and paint the steel sections and put to one side, you never know when you might want one or bits of it

Us Comp Safari racers like them, we take the frame out and just use the skin.

The 2-2a hinges are worth saving as many now have been fitted with either series 3 or OFFENDER bonnets.
