Oil cooler tap.

Just noticed that my LWT has a tap plumbed in just before the oil-cooler. Should I close it for the winter or just leave it be?

Thanks upfront for any observations or suggestions.

I recon it's a suck it and see job,as most series don't have an oil cooler I can't see in any harm coming to your motor with it shut off and it will reach running temp quicker in cold weather.

Depends where the oil is coming from if it is later type filter housing fitted oil is partially diverted by thermostat when hot if you close the valve might cause a problem.
Best post some pics sof your setup.
