oil cooler location

could anyone tell me where there oil cooler is on my 2000 TD4 auto?#
Is it under the battery then under the starter motor?.

And how can i tell if it is the oil cooler thats causing oil to run into the coolant, are there gasket seals on them that could have failed or could the cooler itself be buggered?

Going from memory , the oil cooler is bolted onto the front of the engine down the front near to the oil filter and starter motor. I guess its pretty located between the starter motor and the HP pump.

I'm not going to pretend to be able to diagnose it for you, but oil coolers have been known to fail far more often than headgaskets.

The oil coolers are non-servicable items. As in , sealed units, all seals are internal afaik.
