I have just done a service on my 300tdi, 15/30 oil and new filters all round but when I took it for a drive after it felt sluggish and has a slight vibration now too. It ran fine before and does still run well now, but the accelertion is slower and the vibration although only slight can be felt all the way from idle to 70mph.

Any suggestions?

15/30? I thought 15/40 was more the norm. I assume you have checked the oil level after taking it for a drive and letting it all drain back down? You could also try dragging the old air filter out of the bin and trying it again just in case the new one is a bit more restrictive, at least you may eliminate that as a ause

Just a thought after stumbling accross a thread about injectors, I wonder if its a poor quality fuel filter either restricting fuel flow or a worn injector showing signs because I've disturbed the fuel system.

Either way the vibration and lack of power is getting worse to the point I'm considdering an engine change

Think you need to do a bit more investigation before jumping in to an engine replacement, you would be a bit miffed if you changed an engine and had the same issue because it was something simple like a dodgy fuel line.

Need to check all the basics first (cam / FIP timing / valve clearances etc), when was the cam belt last changed?

Belt was changed 20k miles ago, just checked valve clearances last week. Haven't checked timing yet but will try a different set of injectors first. Seems wierd that it started after a service though
