Off roading noises!

Hi wonder if anyone can shed some light on this for me. I have defender 110 with OME 2" lift double de cardan front prop and detroit trutrac front diff. Polly bushes and castor corected front radius arm bushes (not sure if any of this is relevant)! Anyway when i drive on the road i have no problems but when off roading i get a lot of clunking and banging which is particularly noticable from the front passenger side. Can't tell if it is from the transmission or not. A friend running a 90 same 2"lift has exactly the same noises! Are these normal?
