Having a read of old threads and read about you making your own disc brake conversion.How did you get on any joy? Like to make it rather than pay through the nose.

Sorry landynutter, only just seen your post m8, its still in the early stages yet, i am sorting out the mounting plates for the calipers at the moment, i am gonna look for a series axle to use as a test rig rather than keep pulling my landy to bits, i am going to do a mock set up on that and when i am happy that it is ok i will give it a go on my landy, i am a tool maker by trade so actually making the conversion parts won't be a problem it looks a pretty straight forward job, mainly picking up off existing holes on the axle. i'll keep you posted on my progress.

Iam in Eastbourne and got an axle you can have for f all if your near you can have it .

I've just stumbled onto this via a web search, so bit behind times, but thought I might be able to offer some assistance, so created a login.
Did you manage to find a set of axles, i've got a few kicking around from 80's or got a 109 front ...either or you are welcome too.
Don't think i'm a million miles away from you, (castle donington)
Let me know, regardless i'm looking at conversions at the mo, so would be interested in your findings

thanks for the offer, i haven't got any sorted at the moment, i think the best thing to do is if i give you a bell and have a natter with you and see if we can sort something out, if thats ok with you. I'll give you a bell over the weekend and let you know where i an up to with it all.

Any news on the disc brakes yet?? Im a new member to the forum! But have been looking into converting my series 3 to discs for some time now but have not been able to find much about people making their own kits,
I have looked into the kits available such as the Zeus kit but they are very expensive and build quality is very poor!
Any help any one could offer would be greatly received
