In a moment of madness, have decided that I want a toy to play with, and have treated myself to a 300TDI defender 90.
She has a lot of what I think the antique shops call age related marks
and a lot of miles on the clock (250K) but am told she was a Dartford crossing car from the 90's so am hoping the first 100K or so she was treated like a baby. (Still has a mark on the door that was clearly a 2 foot high number "2" which I seem to have a fuzzy recollection of from back in the day). Was lucky that I think the miles scared off a few possible buyers so didn't pay the earth and now plan to spend many happy hours in, on and under her.
