Having compared my Disco to 2 other TD5's, i have noticed that it is noisy when on tickover and half throttle. Its quiet when on I have my foot down. Could it be a problem with the EGR valve?

Everything to do with EGR is a problem.

Blank it off or remove it completely before it damages youyr engine.

Charlesy When one carries out the modification so to speak what does one do with regard the electrical connection .I assume that if it's left in limbo (tied up)what happens regards any signal that is still being sent.Just so as I know what to do .
Many thanks

Do nothing else!

Just buy the little plate from Ebay, and fit it.
That's IT.

The engine does not know about it. It simply runs better because it breathes fresh air only.

The fuel consumption in mine improved by nearly TWENTY percent!
