No power when you press the loud pedal.

Bought a 2000 V8 disco with some issues,sorted most,But when you drive it,it`s ok,try and accerlerate hard and it slows down,does not miss or run rough just feels like it`s not got any power,take your foot of the pedal and press lightly and it pulls perfectly.

That sounds like fuel starvation.

Fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel lines, injectors, poorly modified ecu? Loads of possibilities. Start at the simplist/cheapest and work your way up
