Hi all,

Had the injector pump and all the pipes off the other day to try and locate where the air was getting in. Put it all back together now, bled the system and now the sodding thing wont start

I undid the injectors one by one and had a look but no fuel is getting to them, although there is fuel in the pump.

Any ideas of what might be wrong/ a solution?

thanks

Overtightened the clamp ?

Take the hose off the out side of the pump and let it run into a bowl or something, if it comes through then you have an obstruction somewhere in the pipe ahead, if not then there might be an obstruction earlier in the line

check for leaks at all the banjos where copper washers are used and renew if needed, also check the pipe on the bottom of the distro pump as there is a one way valve that once disturbed leaks like a bugger...

No leaks anywhere, fuel is getting into the pump but not leaving it

I undid the injector pipes at the pump end and cranked the engine over and no fuel came out of any of the connections, i presume there should have been?

I can remember something rattleing around inside the pump when i had it off, the pump is the cav one on the 2.25 diesel ( mines from 1980 ), possible that the whole pump is broken?

thanks
