nightmare 09 freelander 2 2.2 td4

Hi peeps

Have a 09 freelander 2 coming up with intermittant eml on dash. vehicle doesnt rev as if fuel starvation. key on and off and fault will clear.

p0089-00 error code fuel rail pressure- too low displayed.

As far as im aware this car has had a sender unit, high pressure pump, rail and pressure sensor, valve. Its also had fuel filter and fuel temp sensor pipe.

The car can go up to 50 miles sometimes more before faulting

Have you introduced yourself? Familiarise yourself with the various forums then try posting in the Freelander Forum. Probably get a better response that way.

it will indeed be safer in the Gaylander section, not quite as robust in there shall we say.


now my advice would be to burn it and then throw away the curling tongs and grow a pair,then come back with a proper landy.

as for growing a pair this isnt my car. jus lookin at for a friend i run a mk4 escort 4wd drive converted cossie powered motor built not bought.

so have you any helpful advise

Fuel pump intermittent failure perhaps,dodgy relay perhaps or of course the flux capacitor
