Hello everybody..Just joined up on here and thought i,d better introduce myself..
My name is Donk(coz i,m so goodlooking) and i,m a City & Guilds Auto engineer, and i,m also a professional logistics operator/driver and fitter..
I,ve attached a picture that was taken at Billing earlier this year, just before i lifted out a series 3 gearbox..
Well we had no engine hoist so it had to come out manually..

hi donk welcome...in the pic what you doin testing a porta loo :)

This piccy was taken at Billing earlier this year just before i lifted a series 3 gearbox out...On my own!
Well it had to be done and we did not have a Hoist..:eek: :eek: :eek:
I think the people just wanted to see if i could lift it...Should have put a bet on it...Tee hee hee..:D :D

If yer ever in Cornwall, I've got a tree stump needs pulling out.
 
dit dit ditty dit dit ditty dit newflash... yer not the only one that has lifted series' g/boxes out on yer own. but can you change a g/box on yer own in less than 4 hrs?

Done a Proton 5 speed manual G/box in/out for a new clutch and back in again, on my own, and with HAND tools,IE... no compressor, in 1 hour and twenty minutes...Does that count???:p :p
