hi guys, im new to this forum and new to landy ownership, a Disco TD5 (although have had them in the family for a while).
i am just wanting some reasurance really on me diagnosing my fault correctly before i go spending my hard earned
i beileve my in tank fuel pump has let go, i was driving back from 100 mile round trip, slowed down for a roundabout and when exiting it started showing slight misfire syptoms and about 15 secs later would misfire at anything above 40mph or on a hill etc where you had to use a more moderate throttle. it starts spot when its hot or just now at stone cold, ive checked the injector wiring and ecu wiring for condition, continuity and oil, all was ok and no signs of oil anywhere in wiring or ecu plugs and i believe it has had the better replacment wiring fitted, also the oil doesnt look diluted with diesel around injectors.
then i realised when i put the ignition on i couldnt hear the tank fuel pump priming, so i fired it up and still no pump. ive checked the pump plug and it is realy clean inside and im getting power supply and a spot on earth
which leads me to beleive my pump has gone, im pretty sure of it but i would like some second thoughts if anyone thinks ive missed something
thanks in advance, James
