Happy New Year to all who celebrate!
Newbie gaylander owner here.....2004 TD4 91000 S.
Live in Folkestone Kent, so anyone local who knows what they are talking about is welcome to contact.......Just want to say whet an excellent FORUM, huge knowledge and wealth of experience to hand.
Now the niceties are out the way, just want ask about the usual noises. The vehicle has a replacement VCU just dropped the lot and looks like bearings are good, but rubbers are shot! some klutz did not align the support brackets to 90 degrees!!
Must say wish drove like 2WD as standard, oh well - can't have it all.
Now tracking noises to drive shaft bearings? seems to be a speed related drone. Done the tyre pressures etc. All new yokohama 'town and country tread' tyres.
Slight grind on left-hand-lock.
