Hi All!

Stumbled across this forum and looks like a good source of info! This is my first Landy (well, since my RAF days!) and it's more of a bit of fun than a day to day vehicle - only bought it as it's cheap and keeps my own NCB going as I also have a company car.

I was told it's got a 200Tdi engine fitted, but after several mates have seen it they're not sure it's a 200Tdi - hope you lot can confirm it once and for all!!

It runs really well, but struggles to get above 65-70mph - is this normal??

Cheers,

Im no eggspurt by any means, but i would say 2.5 TD rather than 200tdi but then the defender 200tdi looks a little different from the disco one and that is all i have ever really seen, but one of the deepender chaps will be along soon to confirm or deny my assumptions, I am mearly a chavy Disco driver so count for nothing (although we rate much higher than Gaylander drivers)

but that looks like a nice landy, enjoy it oh and :welcome:

P.S you want to go faster than 65 in a tratter????? are you mad:eek: it sounds about right to me, they were never really built for speed and you have you company motor for that;)
