I say hello to you all at this forum.

Little about me and my car entusiasm.

5 years ago I was bitten by another virus the Alfa Romeo virus. I have 3 of those today that I enjoy very much during summer.

But as a car maniac I want to have somthing to drive when the weather is harsh (spelling?) fall, winter and early spring. On and off road.

Why not try off roading with a land rover? I am invited by a British guy living and working in sweden (www.opp.se) to test going off road. I hope it will be soon.

Off roading has been a secret dream since I got my first Range Rover Camel trophy toy in the seventies. I tried doing enduro with motorcycles, that scared me to death, almost anyway, since the go extremly fast with all the trees, stones and other obsticals close to you.

taking the Land Rover out in the bush seams to be a slower experaince!?

So, why am I here?

To find out what Land Rover to buy!

My Choice is between the Land Rover Defender and a classic Range Rover. But is the choice that easy? please help with you knowledge.

Regards, Fredrik

Get a Mitsubishi...........ha ha .
No seriously get a Defender, the best you can afford,90's are better off road than the 110's due to the short wheelbase, tighter turning circle.

Thank´s.

I will have that in consideration when I look for a Defender.
I think there are little more "macho" than a Range Rover ;)

But the thing is that I want to take the land Rover on our vacation and weekend trips without having two cars with you. So I might get the 110 or 130 so we can have all the stuff with us. Why not two cars? The ferry ticket are so expensive when travel to our summer house (Island called Gotland).

I will post more questions soon, and of course pictures when I buy a Defender.

Have a good one,

Fredrik

Welcome to the forum Fredrik, haven't driven the Defender yet but had two Range Rover Classics in the past. Lovely vehicles to drive and really fun off-road. I'll like the look of the Defender and will be looking at a 90 for my next off-road toy. The 110 looks good for Overlanding and the 90 more for playing if you want my opinion Good luck with the search!
