Hi like many others I'm a it new to L/R'S and this seems the perfect place to gain some much needed info..

I've got a 90 and appear to have bought a "pig", well thats a bit strong, it's Ok execpt that the carb "twin choke weber" plays up something rotten, whenever i hit a bump, pothole or speed hump it starts to show sympoms of running out of fuel..!
I've had the carb rebuilt and the problem seems to have arrisen since then, also I went out in last night by way of testing the carb and got back to find I couldn't turn the head lights off, I've unplugged the swithces and the head light relay and still they stay on the only way so far has been to pull the fuses

any hints would greatly appreciated, I'm lowthed to take it off road till I getit sorted, and I'm wasting a good summer

fuel starvation is probably the float height is too low and needs "tweaking". you need to take the top of the carb off and with it upside down, measure the distance from the carb top to the float, i'm not sure what it should be but you can guess it by bending the float towards the carb top and then reassebling and testing, only a little mind! too much and you'll flood it.

try a weber web site for the measurements

as for the headlights, you have a wiring fault somewhere, where is anyones guess, you'll have to get out a wiring diagram and go through it
