I have owned Land Rovers since I was 17 and over the years have collected too many projects. Now it is time to have a clear out and I am looking for advice on the best way to package it up. The final nail in the coffin was getting a Disco 3 and having to admit that I would never choose to go back to a 110. This is what I have
Disco 2 with later engine - MOT fail inner wing rust, but engine great
Disco 1 300tdi - MOT fail, engine smokes - injector problem, gearbox good, rest scrap
Disco 1 300tdi chassis - engine and box good, chassis OK
Defender 110 1983 project, completely dismantled, Galv chassis and bulkhead, new rear tub, two sets of doors, one later pushbutton type, resprayed, mechanical winch, rangerover VM engine, LT88 and lots of other bits
Defender 110 1986, 300tdi retrofit, failed MOT with lots of welding needed, relatively easy fix for when I have 5 mins.
The Discovery chassis is on ebay at the moment starting at £500, but minimal interest. Too optimistic? Stupid to sell it first?
So how do I advertise that? The engines from any of the discoveries would be a good fit for the 110 project.
Thanks in advance
David
