Hi, have bought a 1970 Series 2a SWB to restore with my son. Vehicle was a bit of a hybrid (S3 wings, defender rad panel, Perkins Prima engine etc...)
Aim is to take her back to original as much as is possible. Never owned a Land Rover before so on a steep learning curve. Car stripped to chassis and a S2a Bhd purchased off ebay to replace S3 item. Jig fabbed up to ensure alignment and posts and footwell panels purchased to install. Not really worked on cars before so any advice welcome.
Plan is top work bhd and rolling chassis over winter months and finish off next year sometime.
Will be posting a few queries as we progress and wiull take a few pics so that if we go off track we can be corrected.
