Hi everybody, i have just bought my sixth,Landy, 2004 TD5 lovely shiny gloss black.(probably won't stay that way).We have had two series 1discos, 1freelander(now for sale) RR classic, and a ratty old series three.Sadly couldn't keep more than one at once tho..I'm a glutton for punishment but i hope the td5 escapes the gremlins as much as poss..It's currently bog standard, still on air, much better ride than the Series 1 .May need to change an airbag tho as it occasionally drops one corner after parking.will also look for a TUNIT or similar for power boost .
Like the friendliness of this forum cheers .

Welcome aboard :)

Shame you couldn't keep a series too:(

Have a search about tuning the TD5 - IMHO, a remap is a better more reliable option than a tuning box - and possibly cheaper too. From what others say on here, Mike at Dynachip seems to be the right answer to your "problem" :D

You'll probably also find that if one air bag is kaput, the other one is too - and again, forum opinion seems to be to do them both together.....

Thank you Disco, the odd thing is it's intermittent, it's up today from a drive on Sunday, but it was down Saturday .Dissent seem to be a pattern

Are you parking on level ground?

If I park up with one rear wheel on the small 1" kerb, then the suspension will lower on one side. If I park without having it on the kerb then it will sit corectly for a few weeks.

Cheers

Neilly thanks a point to ponder, the ground isn't completely level outside the house,
No disco ,no diagnostics ,but my son in law has a Merc diagnostic and code reade ,did not pick up any thing
I may get airbags changed, don't have facilities or time to do it myself,.have a reputable guy local in leighton buzzard

Hi Frank,

Not sure what a merc diagnostic reader will pick up on a D2 TD5, as they are not fully OBDII compliant, which is why a lot of us have the bespoke diagnostic systems for the car.

Cheers
