I had a couple of days off this week so I spent a couple of hours changing the silencer on my P38 as it was cracked where the rear hanger is and looked to be in danger of snapping completely.
So I ordered a new one from a local Motor Factor and was pleasantly surprised at the cost £45.
I backed the car up onto some ramps, hack sawed (mini hacksaw) the old bolts off, disconnected the rubbers so the old one fell off, then popped the new one on using 4 new bolts.
All in all a very easy and cheap fix.
