Hi everyone,
I've bought a 2004 Discovery 2 TD5 ES Premium Auto and I'm absolutely loving it. I've been a Land Rover fan for a long time (I even worked at Gaydon at one point, and did my Uni dissertation on LR) but after many years of saving up this is my first Land Rover.
It's currently immaculate as I'm using it as my urban daily driver and commuter but I'm hoping to find some muddy tracks for the weekends. I'm based in the Lothians so think I'm going to join the Mad on Mud Club at Glentarkie, looks really interesting, anybody got any experience (or photos!) there? I've got a fair bit of off road experience under my belt.
As for the Disco, it's pretty much perfect. My only niggles are that it needed a new battery on day 1 (it's been fine since), the rear door handles take a very firm tug to get them open, and the auto is taking some getting used to (reluctant to change upwards in town - hoping the dealer can reset my auto ECU but they didn't seem to know what I was talking about when I phoned them!).
I look forward to getting actively involved in the forum.
Cheers
Chris
