I have just purchased a 2005 Registered (55 plate) 2006 model year Range Rover Vogue 4.4V8 and have a couple of questions I would appreciate help with:

  1. Will my vehicle have the BMW or Jaguar engine, it has the narrower front grill and lights.
  2. I have a Nokia phone in the centre console, does this mean I don't have Bluetooth for phones?
  3. I am looking to get the TV converted to digital with DAB Radio as well as install a Parrott or similar for my iPhone and also looking for a way to play music from my ipod classic through the stereo (I have the SatNav with analogue TV and a touch screen). Any ideas as to the best way forward and suitable installers in the Stevenage, Herts or Harlow, Essex area?
  4. Is there a place to decode the VIN # to see what options were fitted when new.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Robert

2. Corret o mondo! (iirc)

3. Try TV In Motion (Goooooooooooooogle it)

4. Not Sure - Most only do up to the P38 that I have seen.....Gooooooooooooooooooooooooogle is your friend

You can try visiting TOPIx

You need to create an account and once you've created an account enter the VIN number and you should get information about the vehicle. I don't know how much information you'll get for your model but I get some information about my P38.

Thanks for you answers. From memory the engine looks like the Jag unit.

Think that I may leave the TV for now and just fit a parrot type unit for the phone and my pure DAB unit for the I-pod.

I think your phone will work via Bluetooth. mine is a 2005 and it works fine.
re the ipod, you can get away with a £35 plug in transmitter and play through the car radio.
no interference with car electrics or trim for any of that.
