Hi, i'm new here due to my disco failing its MOT and being quoted a small fortune to have the work done at a garage. I figure i can probably do most of it myself since its mostly welding and a few worn/bent suspension parts.

off the top of my head the main points: lots about 'exessive corrosion' of the sills and around or near to seat belt anchorages. inner front wings/arches need welding. bent rear pahard rod. worn rear anti roll bar bushes. worn front drag bar linkage. excessive engine emissions on black smoke i think. a disc break was coorded or scored and a breal back plate has similar issues.

others points include loose / broken welds on bullbar and no end caps on rear bumper.

i will probably set up a thread with more details and to report on my progress and to ask for help and advice.
