Evening all , just introducing meeself

Name is Rob from Scotland , bought my first Freelander this weekend, my first ever 4x4. Have had many cars but as of late with 2 Huskies needed to get a bigger car and the Freelander looked the sexiest choice :D . Over time i guess we will see if I made the correct decision. Got a 2001 TD4 GS 5 door on the second hand market , wish I had more cash to get something newer but hey ho thats life. Done over 250 miles in a day as i had to travel to get one. Great drive and very comfortable , only thing thjat is weird is the short gear shift change on low revs , will have ot get used to that.

Anyway thats me , hope you all fine and dandy and im sure ill hear many stories that are helpfull from the forum

Robsta :)

hello and welcome, glad to hear the land rover cult has claimed another, i myself have just purchased a top spec 2003 freelander few months back, but im afraid to say its going when i can afford it as im used to disocs n def's and want another, its far to posh for me lol
luv it, but want one i can trash *speedwaybabe* style lol

hehehe thanks guys , MHM I am a Scotsman so thick skinned I am but thick wallet erm...... that reminds me best check last night lotto ticket

Too posh SWB , heheheh i like it , never thought of driving one being looked upon as posh. My missus just tells me I need to get a pipe and some wellies lol

Nah I think they are well cool and great to drive , over time I guess the wallet issue we will see, I got a 70k FSH one , im praying and after reading some stories Ive got one that runs for a bit without major issues.

One thing that I have heard is that the rear windscreen sometimes goes down on its own , that worries me as I have 2 dogs whos job is to escape at any opportunity :)

Welcome Rob fae Scotland,,, hope ye have a good sence of humor,,, cos you'll need it,,, (the sexiest choice)

lol well, so far my windows great, only when u try to stop it half way going up does it go back down, but stopping it when on way down seems ok lol
yes they r lovely cars to drive and love all the mod cons it has, just too scared to go off road in it lol
oh, a lil tip maye, i leash my mutt to the bolts in the boot, just in case! ;)

Thanks SWB I noticed there is hooks on the floor in the back , I will prolly just put back seats down and crate the moogies. Like everything a few months and Ill soon get to know the good and the bad :)

hehehe yeah , usually after 10 cans of the bow you will see the crap I post , most forums I just dont make sense , not anything bad though, I just cant engage typo/keyboard/brain in one. But I guess being from Scotland makes me officially an alchoholic, i dont wear a kilt , i donbt smell of wee either and I dont herd Haggis or keep them in cages.

Just in case you all wondered :)
