Hi folks, I am Ian Jamieson in New Zealand. I have a 1998 Defender 90 Wolf, x Royal Artillery UK. I imported this in 2022 with 72,000 kms on the clock.
This is my 1st ever LR after 48 years of owning a 1941 Willys MB, 11 years of a Dodge Command Car, 5 years of a Dodge Carry-All and 7 years owning a Willys M38a1.

Do I love my Landy? HELL YES! It's quiet, it's cheap to run,(its relative to 8 miles per gallon Dodges) it doesn't have canvas flapping, its got synchro gears, well I could go on!

On that note, I'm about to replace the steering pump, I have borrowed a fan spanner and understand the left hand thread. I understand leaving the fan belt on and giving the spanner a tap (again, its relative) with a hammer to loosen, then lay the fan gently against the radiator, is the trick???? Any advice welcomed.

Cheers
