Hi to all,

New member checking in!

I´ve been a defender fan for ages. The first time I took one for a spin is still haunting my memories (in a good way that is ).

Anyways, I haven´t been able to locate a used 110 SW to my liking.
This lead me to visit my dealer earlier this week and it looks like I´m putting in an order on a brand new 2006 Defender 110 SW.

I´ve done a lot of research about the upcoming 2007 model and it seems that the only major things changing are the engine + some safety devices, airbags etc? The interior also seems to get an upgrade. http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2006/08/land-rover-defender-2007-pictures.html

What can I say? I like the current interior better...

Anything I should be aware of when buying new?

it'll leak water into the interior, in all the years the defender has been about, they all still leak and are pretty much unfixable

Just a shame it's gonna come with a TD5 engine.

IMHO i think the simpler older engines are better.

But we don't have to share the same opinion.
