Hi,
After owning various Mondeo estates for 15 years - , and the Mrs enjoying a Disco Sport for a couple of years, I have decided to buy a Freelander 2 - I'm into gundog training so wanted something I can get across fields in.
I've looked at a couple of HSE spec TD4s with autoboxes (I'm lazy!) and am close to buying a 2010 model with just over 115k on it (full dealer history - allegedly - only seen a stamped service book which means nothing).
I'm "reasonably" OK with basic servicing stuff - brakes/filters/obviously broken bits, but would be better described as a fitter than a diagnostic technician....
I dont do huge miles but do drive to Clitheroe every weekend which is a 250 mile run.
I live in Bromsgrove near Worcester.
Any recommendations for good dealers to consider before committing to a purchase and what do I need to think about or ensure either is done or gets done - e.g. Haldex service.
