Hi All.
Had an old disco years ago. And I've now decided to take the plunge and buy another.,so just thought I would say hello. I'm also new to forum sites, so please be nice. Haha. I'd also like to show you a picture of it, but I'm not sure how to do that.

Can you also help with!!!! I'm going overseas in it in the next couple of months. What do I need to do to the headlights. As I've been told I need to change them, but I think that's a bit over the top.

You can get a kit which sticks to the lenses as you are in a RHD motor you will be blinding
the other drivers or have them adjusted so they dip to the right instead of the left.

No, no, no. no!
No need to go mad.
Firstly If you have beam height control in a Freelander you can simply angle the headlights to their lowest setting, this will stop them blinding oncoming traffic when dipped.
If you are bothered, get some black or any dark coloured sticky insulation tape and stick it on over the left lower quadrant of each headlight, from due East to South east. that will cut out the up-kick on the beam.
I have been driivng in France since I was 26 and I am now 65. We spend 1/2 the year in France and have never needed to do anymore than this. we don't bother with the black tape any more, just lower the headlights.
You can buy so-called beam converters, they are rubbish and fall off really quickly. so don't spend your money on them.


(Disco 1, Disco 2, Citroen Pluriel and many others, too many to mention. Never had any probs.)
