new here -110 county needs help

Hi everyone Paul here from preston an inexperianced land rover fan I may have taken on more than i can handle.

I bought a 110 county TD 1988 that needs a lot of work doing. I have a lot of time on my hands and thought id fill it fiddleing with a landy however i think this one needs proffessional help.

I have realised that i need to change engine and gearbox td has now power in it. i then discovered my bulkhead is completerly rotten in the floor and behind the dash even though the pillers look not to bad.

anyway i'm going to give it a go and do what i can chassis is rusty and patched but still useable so i'm going to strip it down blast it give it a coat of paint

I have bought a bulkhead off ebay only thing i'm not sure about is the engine and gearbox. i been told a 200tdi will drop straight in a 1988 td can anyone confirm if i can drop a discovery 200tdi engine and gearbox in to my 1988 td i know about the conversion for the engine thats required but what about the gearbox

any ideas?

do a search, covered several times
But defender lt77 iis different to disco(gear leaver position)
and a 200tdi defender has different exhaust manifold from memory.
