It's out with the budget. I am thinking of purchasing a reconditioned head compete with new seals an sca light skim fitted, is this a viable p15 option. I'm hoping I can get a few years use out of it.
At the sanme time. I am thinking of changing the timing chain at the same time. Anything else needs to get changed when I am there?

i'm sure you'll see that the timing guide and tensioner are worn cos they are from some kind of plastic so better go for new ones cos with old ones you see attached what might happen

Saw that photo and I can see why that needs to be replaced. Spoke to this landrover repair shop and they said that they would just replace the head and not bother with the chain. Is this clever? Seems like someone cutting corners.
