New Engine Goes In!

Picked up the new engine! woop.

Old Engine did blow up on the way back quite Spectacularly <-- think it was because i put on the ear defenders and just floored it all the way back.

New Engine now in, after a few mod's, still got problems with the clutch draging and it is using way to much juice but i have the week end free so maybe i will sort it.

Here are a few pics of the engine and it being fitted.

so you just sprayed the whole engine...class!

did you do the engine bay as well while it was out.....if you paint the car, try not to cover all the glass

its better than me though, I wouldn't have bothered painting it, mine all have a sort of oil based 'paint' on them.....and dripping under them!

thats a bedsheet coverin the front panel, which is why he has the engine so high. ffs it would have bin easier to tek the front end off

i have a big bit of 13core cable running through that front panel and it would be a pain cuting that and putting it all back together after, that is why the engine is so high up.. and yes i do still have that cheesy grin!!

I can explain .... you see he has four lights, each running from three-phase AC electricity taken from the alternator before the rectifier pack, so he needs three cores per lamp (no point in sharing cables) so that's 12 cables, and one more for a hefty earth, and being AC he needs a neutral.

However, as Neutral and earth can be the same cable, he has done it that way to be economical of wires, thus 13 cores.

Tell me I'm right .... because if I'm not I'm baffled too.

he was left in a stae of flumuxed when confronted by why he dint take the front out and that was the best he could come up with... erm! eh! ave got a big cable going through it! honest
