I seem to have a new electrical fault on my 2008 freelander.
a couple of weeks ago the batter was flat from lack of use so we charged it back up fully.
Now it starts fine and drives fine, however occasionally gives a loud beep and displays the message System check in progress. The dashboard then dies so speedo, fuel, temp gauge etc all switches off. All electrics still appear to work, radio, windows etc it’s just the dash displays. It then comes back on a minute later. This can continue multiple times while driving
Any ideas where the loose connection might be or has charging the battery fried something?
