New Defender?

I had a test drive of a new Defender at the wekend. The saleman told me that a new model with Transit engine was coming out early in the new year. Anyone know anything about this? I found these spy pictures http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2006/08/land-rover-defender-2007-pictures.html has anyone got anything else?

The tranny engine is supposed to be very good with more power, anyone got any experience?

I have almost got Wifey on side, just need a bit more power and I think she will be up for it!
 
IT IS I THINK A 2.8 LTR DIESEL THAT SOME TRANNYS HAVE.
APARANTLY IT IS ABOUT 25 HORSIES MORE POWERFULL THAN THE TD5 PIECE OF CRAP THAT IS IN THEM AT THE MOMENT.

DONT QUOTE ME ON THIS AS ITS ONLY WHAT I HAVE HEARD.

I LOOKED AT THE PHOTOS AND THE DASH LOOKS GOOD AND SO DOES THE LIFTED BONNET.
I have also heard that the seating position is different.

So which 2.8 ltr transit engine would that be? The 2.2 or 2.4 litre

Now you see thats the problem with this web site.

Right you want facts well here they are.
1. its a 2.4 ltr diesel
2.135 ps but has a peek output acording to ford of 137ps#
3. 375nm of torque.

I BET THE BUTCHERS ARE KEPT BUSY IN AND AROUND (ECCLESFIELD, STIG HILL, HAMMERTON ROAD, DEEPCAR, MOSBOUROUGH,ATTERCLIFF AND WOODSEATS).
sorry if i missed any of the pig farms in sheffield but the last time i was up there it was to train some wallies with silly hats ,home office authorised restraints.

Sorry for being so rude officer, but my mum always told me that if you dont have anything constructive to say then dont say it.

Any how shouldnt you be out and about catching poor motorists that get flashed by those yellow tax collecting cameras or at least you could get 5 of your piggy mates to beat up some black people, cause as for catching proper criminals im afraid your all usesless.:p

Yes you were quite right in that I put in the wrong engine size of the new defender. ( thank you for correcting me).
I WOULD LIKE TO FIRSTLY APOLOGISE TO THE THE LAND ROVER GODS( OBVIOUSLY YOU THINK YOU ARE ONE OF THEM).

Yes it was a major error in typing but then again only the land rover gods are perfect .

It was not that you corrected me on an error .( it needed to be corrected).
It was the snide way in which you tried to make yourself look clever and me look a bit stupid.( which i may be, but it aint nice to poke fun at the thick person in the corner now is it).

Lastly .I did not roll in here shouting bollocks, I entered a comment in an open forum of which i am a member and the only error i made in my comment was the engine size. The rest was as far as anyone other than landrover knows yet, correct.

So i apolagise to you oh landrover god, and i hope that you see fit in your infinate wisdom to accept my apology. If not then go **** yourself cause im done with ya.:)
