New Boost Alloys

Just got myself a set of boost alloys for my old Defender,

I always thought the old steels added to the authenticity, but the alloys look bloody incredible.

The larger 265 75 tyres also make it more comfortable to drive, compared to the thin little things it was standing on before.

I do like a nice boost alloy, looks good

They look even better with the centres painted with westminster grey (or body colour)

That's a good idea. The original metallic silver paint is starting to flake off mine so I'm thinking about giving them a rub down and repaint sometime this summer.

How long was it before they started doing this?

Top tip, take them to someone who has a bead blaster (not a shot blaster, as that can damage the alloy) it took a week just to rub them back with coarse paper, paint stripper wouldn't touch the colour coat.
